An engineered version of poliovirus improved the overall survival rate of patients with a lethal form of brain cancer, according to results from a phase one clinical trial. ABC² was an early funder of this research.
Investigators with the ALLELE consortium presented their latest research at the 2018 American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting. ABC² built the consortium to bring leading research institutions together to provide robust genomic profiling to brain cancer patients.
Gregory Riggins, a Penn State bioengineering alumnus, was recently named one of 12 recipients of the 2018 Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award. Dr. Riggins is a member of the ABC² scientific advisory board.
