Genentech

ABC2’s network of clinical researchers discovered that Avastin, used in treating lung and colon cancer, seemed to show promise in treating brain cancer.  We created the necessary incentives for Genentech to repurpose Avastin for brain cancer.  We funded the early stage research and clinical trial work to test the efficacy of Avastin to treat brain tumors.  The result was the first new FDA approved drug to treat brain cancer in a decade.
