Danielle Rosenscruggs

Position:
Director, Development

ABC2‘s mission holds special meaning for Danielle. In 1998 her mother was diagnosed with a skull-based meningioma and, after an 8 year battle, lost her fight in January 2007. Danielle knew that she wanted to give back to the community and devote her career to helping find a cure for brain tumors. The aggressive approach ABC2 brought to the funding decision process appealed to her and after meeting the team she saw the passion that everyone brought to their work. She knew that this was where she belonged and joined the team in 2009 as the Director of Events.

Eager to make an impact she hit the ground running with the creation of the Florida Brain Cancer 5K. In just 3 short years this event has raised more than $250,000 for brain cancer research and continues to grow. She also played in integral part in the creation of other fundraising efforts including Race Towards a Cure, Community Connections and the Year End Campaign. In 2011 Danielle’s responsibilities were increased to include all development efforts and she now serves as the organization’s Director of Development.

Prior to joining ABC2 Danielle worked for a number of non-profit organizations including Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, The Heart of America Foundation and the Human Rights Campaign. She has an M.A. from George Washington University and a B.A. from Columbia College Chicago.

When not at work Danielle enjoys traveling, reading and relaxing at home with her husband, Adam, and crazy cat, Storm. A non-profit junkie at heart, she spends her free time volunteering at local non-profit events and serves as a member of the Next Generation Leaders, the junior board of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington.
