2011 was a very exciting year for Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure in many ways, including our event and fundraising efforts.

At the end of 2010, we had our Race for Hope – DC and Florida Brain Cancer 5K events, but we knew that there was so much more we could be doing to help support the community and your desire to get involved in the fight against brain cancer.

We not only grew our existing events but also expanded our efforts to include some wonderful programs and partnerships:

ABC2 thanks David and his fans for participating in the Mozilla Firefox Charity Challenge to help cure brain cancer.

Whether it’s American Idol or a celebrity charity contest, David Cook and his fans know what it takes to win.  Their passion and commitment to help cure brain cancer is what drove their spectacular showing in the Mozilla Firefox Charity Challenge. David and his fans raised over $40,000 for Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC2).

American Idol winner aims to raise $100,000 in honor of his brother

American Idol champion David Cook announced today he plans to run his first marathon and launch a fundraising campaign to help find a cure for brain cancer, which claimed his brother’s life two years ago. Cook says he hopes to raise $100,000 leading up to the 2012 Honda LA Marathon on behalf of Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC2).
