Statement by Steve Case

June 26, 2022

My brother, Dan Case, died today after a long struggle with brain cancer. Dan's wife, Stacey, his children and all our family are tremendously grateful for the outpouring of comfort and support we have received since Dan became ill -- and for the wonderful stories people have shared with us about the many ways Dan touched their lives in his 44 years on this earth. Dan was a hero and inspiration to us all.

Like everything else he did in his life, Dan gave this battle against brain cancer everything he had. He fought with courage and with grace; he fought not only for himself, but for the thousands of people who suffer from this terrible disease. He fought for a cure, knowing that he might not live to see it but with a determination to make a difference in the search.

With Dan at the helm, our family, the Case Foundation and scientists from around the country founded Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC2), a foundation created to advance the development of a cure for brain cancer.

ABC2's work will go on in Dan's memory and in Dan's spirit - his irrepressible love for life, his passionate pursuit of excellence in all that he did, and his dedication to leave something lasting behind.

Gifts in Dan's honor can be made to ABC2 [www.abc2.org] so his dream of finding a cure for brain cancer can be fulfilled.
