Raised in Boise, Idaho, Gary attended Stanford University where he was a four year letterman as a linebacker on the football team and earned a B.S. in Industrial Systems and Organizational Design. Gary and his wife Heather met during their freshman year at Stanford. Following his 1983 season with the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, Gary returned to the Bay Area where they married and raised their daughters, Rachel and Kelly.
Gary currently lives in Los Altos Hills. His personal interest and involvement as a board member with ABC2 stems from the loss of Heather, his wife of 22 years, to brain cancer in 2008.
