The 21st Annual Race for Hope – DC, presented by Cushman & Wakefield, brought together nearly 10,000 brain cancer advocates raising more than $1.8 million to benefit Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (ABC²) and the National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS).
An engineered version of poliovirus improved the overall survival rate of patients with a lethal form of brain cancer, according to results from a phase one clinical trial. ABC² was an early funder of this research.
Investigators with the ALLELE consortium presented their latest research at the 2018 American Society of Clinical Oncology meeting. ABC² built the consortium to bring leading research institutions together to provide robust genomic profiling to brain cancer patients.
