I was told that I only had 12 months left. Three years later...I'm still here and enjoying my life!

In October of 2009 I started having headaches. After a couple of weeks the headaches were constant, my ears started plugging up, (making it sound as if I was in a wind tunnel. I would have these weird dizzy spells, I couldn't focus, I just didn't feel right. After a trip to see my doctor and being put on a medication that wasn't helping, I ended up in the emergency room, having an MRI and then being told that I had a brain tumor. I was sent to a bigger, better hospital where they did a biopsy. A few days late I was back at that hospital being told that I had, Stage 4 Glioblastoma. That I would being starting 6 weeks of radiation along with the chemo that I would be taking for the rest of my life. And, oh-by-the-way...you have 12 months to live. Three years later, here I sit, writing this to you, living and enjoying life. Yes, I still have cancer but I am doing well. I'm still on chemo and have side effects but those things don't seem to matter. I am enjoying every single extra moment that I've been given and am extemely thankful to have them.
