This story is about my emotional journey with my mother's diagnosis of brain cancer.

On the morning of December 5th, 2009, I received a telephone call from one of my sisters. She told me that she had taken my mother to the emergency room the night before. Judging by the tone of her voice I knew the situation was serious. She said that mama was admitted into the hospital because the doctors had discovered a brain tumor. It was a stage four glioblastoma. I was speechless, confused, shocked, and scared. It has been four years since my mother fell asleep in death. Like most people who lose someone they love in death, I have gone through every stage of grief. I know that one day I will see her again when she is resurrected into a paradise on earth. Then and only then will I never have to worry about losing her again. At this time there will be a cure for all brain tumors. This fact is a sure hope for me and a reality that will come soon.
