Max Wallace Moderates NCI Advocacy Group Meeting

Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure and the Chordoma Foundation are co-hosting the 57th meeting of the National Cancer Institute Director's Consumer Liaison Group (DCLG) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina from May 18 - 20th.

The DCLG is a Federal Advisory Committee comprised of advocate leaders, chosen for their expert understanding of the perspectives and dynamics of the cancer research community. The DCLG identifies and responds to issues and challenges facing the Institute at the request of the Director. The DCLG provides relevant, non-scientific skills and perspectives in order to improve research outcomes by identifying new approaches, promoting innovation, recognizing unforeseen risks or barriers, and identifying unintended consequences that could result from NCI decisions.

Max Wallace, CEO of Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure, will moderate a roundtable dialogue on Translational Research: Partnerships and Policy.  Panelists include: Robert Harrington, Duke Clinical Research Institute; Phillip Porter, Hogan Lovells - CEO Roundtable on Cancer Life Sciences Consortium; Sandra Silberman, Quintiles; Josh Sommer, Chordoma Foundation and Nancy Sung, Burroughs Wellcome Fund - Health Research Alliance.
